Britannia P&I Club is the oldest P&I Club in the world. Founded in 1855, it is based in London and managed by Tindall Riley. The Club is a mutual insurance company, as such, it has no shareholders and does not seek to make a profit. The Club is run by a Committee of up to 30 directors, two of whom are provided by the Managers. Almost half of the tonnage is entered by owners located in East Asia and the Club is proud of its ‘blue chip’ membership.
